    [Brussels, 19 June 2012] The European Women’s Lobby (EWL), the largest coalition of women’s NGOs in Europe, has welcomed the launch today of the new EU Strategy to combat human trafficking, which has a strong focus on women’s rights and gender equality.

    [Brussels, 05 June 2012] The EWL today launched a three-month photographic exhibition at Amazone in Brussels. Amazone is a ressource centre hosting Belgian women’s organisations.

    [Brussels, 01 June 2012] On 30 May, 17 Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) from nine countries and all political groups gathered together in Brussels in support of the European Women’s Lobby’s action against prostitution around sporting events.     The EWL team completes 20km of Brussels for women's rights!

    [Brussels, 31 May 2012] An EWL team took part in the 20km of Brussels for the first time this year. On 27 May the members of the EWL team put on their running shoes and ran 20km through the streets of Brussels under the sun and to the applause of the crowds.
    Last year, in 2011, the 20km of Brussels brought together about 30000 people, including 8000 women (i.e. 25%). This year, in 2012, women were a bit less underrepresented: out of 34186 participants, 8869 were women, (i.e. 26%).
