Asha joined the European Women’s Lobby as a Policy and Campaigns Officer in 2018. Asha coordinates specific areas of the broader EWL work on eradicating all forms of violence against women, specifically coordinating EWL’s #HerNetHerRights project, which maps the prevalence of violence against women in the digital space from a holistic perspective. Asha similarly supports EWL’s work on women’s socio-economic independence, specifically on gender budgeting and the position of women in the European digital economy.
Prior to joining EWL, Asha spent her time as assistant consultant in the European Parliament, specialising in analysis on human rights, civil liberties and advocated for the rights of migrant and refugee women in Europe, as well as co-producing analyses on the effectiveness of the implementation of the European Commission Daphne initiative. Asha also has extensive experience as a researcher, publishing reports specifically focused on trafficking in women and girls, and sexual exploitation.

Originally from the UK, Asha holds a Master’s degree in Transnational Studies and a Masters in European Studies & Law from the University of Kent and KU Leuven respectively. Asha is a long-term member of the oldest women’s organisation in the UK, the Fawcett Society and continues to volunteer for organisations such as the European Network of Migrant Women and Generation Abolition.
As feminist, Asha is committed to realising a society that acknowledges, rectifies and revolutionises all women’s lived experience for the better with an intersectionality framework in mind.
