[Rome, 16 August 2021] The Italian coordination of the European Women’s Lobby is very concerned about the latest developments in Afghanistan and the Taliban’s seizure of power.

Portugal is one of the few countries that has had, since 1988, specific legislation addressing the rights of Women’s Associations. It is with sadness that we have learned that we lost another feminist at EWL. We were shocked to hear of the accidental death of Marie-Paule Grossetête, co-president of the Coordination Française pour le Lobby Européen des Femmes (CLEF), EWL’s National Coordination in France. Marie-Paule was a tireless, passionate feminist and a role model for the younger generation to whom she remained close. Remembering Emma Ritch: EWL mourns the death of EWL’s former Board Member who passed away last Friday, 09 July 2021

It was with great sadness that we learned that Emma Ritch passed away suddenly last Friday 9 July. Emma was Engender’s Executive Director and member of the EWL Board from 2018 to 2021.
Having learned of this sad news, the European Women’s Lobby extends our deepest condolences to Emma’s family and to the colleagues at Engender. As we mourn this great loss in the feminist movement, we honour and celebrate the life of Emma and the many lives she has touched.

To call sexual violence against children paedophilia is misleading.

Her Future Is Equal: an update from Malta Women’s Lobby

Read an update of the current experience of our Maltese members working on the way toward more equal laws concerning prostitution.
