EWL Participates in the Third World Social Forum on Migration in Madrid
[Brussels, September 2008] Under the framework of the project ‘Equal Rights. Equal Voices. Migrant women in the EU’, the EWL co-organized with various organizations at the Third World Social Forum on Migration in Madrid on 11-13.09.2008 a seminar on ‘EU Trade and Migration policies: building alternatives and resistance from the social and migrants’ movements’ and a workshop on ‘Migrant Women’s Situation in Host Countries’. It featured the participation of Salome Mbugua (Akidwa, Ireland); Suzanne Monkasa (Union des femmes africaines, Belgium); Virginia Greiner Wangare (Maisha e.v. African Women in Germany) and Amandine Bach (EWL Project Coordinator).
