Welcome on the webpage of EWL’s campaign for an EU Year to End Violence against Women and Girls!
The European Women’s Lobby believes that such EU Year would be instrumental to bring violence against women and girls on the political agenda of the EU, and therefore of the Member States. With such a Year, the EU would deliver a strong sign that violence against women and girls is not tolerable all over Europe.
This is why the EWL has been actively advocating for such a Year, by:
- Initiating a European Coalition of decision-makers and NGOs
- Delivering campaign material, to give visibility to the campaign: the EWL postcard ’Make My Year’ is a great tool to call on EU Commission President to act!
- Mobilising the general public through an e-petition, to reach a critical mass demanding an EU Year to End Violence against Women and Girls.
