Team & Governance

The European Women’s Lobby is governed in sisterhood and solidarity by its members along the Statutes and Internal Rules. Our organisation is comprised of three main bodies: the General Assembly, the Board of Administration, and the Executive Committee. In addition to these key entities, the Board has the authority to appoint consultative bodies, such as sub-committees and working groups. While these bodies do not have decision-making powers, they play a vital role in providing expert insights and recommendations that align with EWL’s overarching goals and objectives. The EWL’s daily work is carried out by the full-time staff members of the EWL Secretariat, based in Brussels.

All appointments and actions are carried out in strict adherence to our Internal Rules, ensuring a cohesive and purpose-driven approach towards achieving our mission.
