My favorite feminist is: Simone de Beauvoir

What makes me angry about patriarchy: It is unbearable to see that crimes committed in the so-called name of honor , female sexual mutilation, forced marriages are persistent.

My areas of expertise when it comes to VAWG: I was a lawyer at the Paris Bar, specializing in Family Law for many years and have defended the interests of abused women in divorce cases.

Key issues when it comes to VAWG in your country/organization that the other EWL Observatory experts need to know. The French legislation is very comprehensive but lack the financial means for implementation of protective measures for women. However, the rape definition has not been modified in the french “Code Pénal”, relative to the Istanbul Convention.

Explain briefly your daily work as if you were to explain it to a 12 years old: We must learn every day to be familiar with the texts that help women to fight against violence, to contact other associations, check out the administrative authorities to ask them to act on their behalf.

If you could change one thing for women, what would that be:

Eliminating the gender pay gap and establishing a real parity in companies.
