One in three women will suffer physical violence during her lifetime, meaning one billion women in the world. Everyday in Europe 7 women die because of domestic violent attacks by their husbands or partners.
Before our big One Billion Rising flashmob in Brussels (17:30 - Place de la monnaie), the European Women’s Lobby danced at the European Commission with Stefan Füle, Commissioner in charge of Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, and Fatma Sahin, Turkish Minister of Family and Social Policies.
