EIGE’s Resource & Documentation Centre (RDC) made avaible online three new databases dealing specifically with the area of domestic violence.
The databases cover:
- Resources on domestic violence
- Methods and Tools on prevention and protection from domestic violence
- Good Practices on prevention and protection from domestic violence.

Gender-based violence is one of EIGE’s priority areas of work. In 2012, EIGE provided the review of the implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action in relation to critical area D in the EU Member States.

Throughout 2013, resources on gender and media, gender and climate change, reconciliation between work, family and private life, men and gender equality and institutional mechanisms for the advancement of women will be made available in cooperation with
- Amazone – Resource Centre for Equality between Women and Men in Brussels
- Atria – institute for gender equality and women‘s history in Amsterdam
- Cid-femmes – Centre d‘Information et de Documentation des Femmes “Thers Bod” in Luxembourg
- Gender Library of the Centre for Transdisciplinary Gender Studies at Humboldt – University zu Berlin
- KVINNSAM – National Resource Library for Gender Studies at Gothenburg University.
EIGE’s RDC will be launched officially at the EU level on October 1st 2013.
