As you know, the European Women’s Lobby (EWL) has initiated a broad European advocacy movement, gathering NGOs and decision-makers, lobbying for comprehensive EU action on violence against women and for a European Year on combating and preventing violence against women.
The Coalition gathers now almost 30 European-wide organisations, more than 60 national organizations, and around 150 individual signatories.
Some EWL national coordinations have joined the coalition, but others haven’t. We believe that we would send a stronger message if all EWL national coordinations could join the Coalition and appear on the website. Would you want to join, please register on the website, or send an email to pape@womenlobby.org.
Moreover, could you please send this information to your member organizations, so that we also collect signatories from their side.
Finally, don’t hesitate to contact your national decision-makers to have them join the Coalition. We already have one MEP who supports the call, and we’re working on having more. So we need your help to get supportive decision-makers at national level.
