On 8 July, the European Women’s Lobby (EWL) submitted its response to the European Commission’s consultation on the new Anti-Racism Strategy, which has been open for feedback since April 2025. This Strategy will replace the current EU Anti-Racism Action Plan 2020–2025.
The EWL coordinated its contribution with the European Network Against Racism (ENAR) to strengthen efforts to tackle structural racism across the EU. In its contribution, the EWL called for a bold, long-term, and intersectional approach to effectively combat racism.
Next steps: The Commission will now assess the feedback received and is expected to publish the new Strategy in Q4 2025.
