Last September, AGORA 2025 brought together 38 young feminists from across Europe and beyond for five inspiring days of learning, exchange, and collective action in Brussels. With participants representing around 30 nationalities and a wide range of lived experiences, professional backgrounds, and feminist struggles, AGORA 2025 reflected the richness and diversity that are at the heart of today’s feminist movements.

This 10th anniversary edition of AGORA took place at a particularly critical moment, as civic space for feminist activism continues to shrink, funding is under threat, and backlash against women’s rights is growing. During the 5 days of the camp, participants engaged in policy dialogues with EU institutions, shared strategies through peer-led workshops, and created intentional spaces for care, healing, and collective reflection. The exchanges strengthened cross-border connections and reinforced a shared commitment to feminist solidarity and action.
AGORA 2025 was widely described as “transformative,” “life-changing,” and “an unforgettable experience of solidarity and learning.” Participants left with new ideas for feminist action, practical skills in advocacy, digital safety, storytelling, self-defence, and increased confidence in their roles as feminist leaders. Many also committed to concrete follow-up actions, including sharing learnings within their organisations, engaging more deeply in national and European feminist networks, and launching or strengthening campaigns in their communities.
As a flagship initiative of the European Women’s Lobby, AGORA continues to embody EWL’s core values of solidarity, diversity, and collective care. AGORA 2025 reaffirmed the programme’s importance as a unique space where knowledge, resistance, and care come together, where the strength of individual feminists grows into the power of a collective shaping the future of feminist movements across Europe.
“I am taking back hope, strength, and new ways to act locally while staying connected to a European feminist community.”
