Alexia Fafara - Policy and Campaigns Officer

Alexia is a Policy and Campaigns Officer at the EWL, where she works on issues related to male violence against women and girls and on sexual and reproductive health and rights.
She graduated in European Policies and Public Affairs at Sciences Po Strasbourg, at the Jagellonian University of Cracow and at the College of Europe of Warsaw. Her first master’s thesis was about the role of the Polish civil society in trying to reshape the national abortion law and the second one was about gender mainstreaming in Frontex.
Before joining the EWL in June 2021, she did an internship at the European Parliament where she took part in the creation of the MeTooEP movement and of the metooep.com blog under the leadership of Jeanne Ponté. She also worked as an Academic assistant at the European Political and Governance Studies Department of the College of Europe for two years where she contributed to the renewal of its anti-harassment policy and to the organization of an annual gender conference.
