Gender-mainstreaming in digital policies
Veronica Zaboia is a Policy and Campaigns Officer for the EWL focusing on gender-mainstreaming in the EU digital policies. Her role is to advocate for feminist EU digital policies and raise awareness on cybercrimes against women and women’s rights online. She also coordinates the EWL #HerNetHerRights training on online violence against women and girls.
Originally from Italy, Veronica graduated in Law both in Italy and France with a focus on European and International Law. She wrote her Master thesis on the comparison between the Islamic veil debate in Italy and France. After working for a year at the OECD in the Trade in Services Division, and at Sanofi as Digital Lawyer, in 2020 she moved to Brussels for the Blue Book Traineeship at the European Commission in DG CNECT. Since then she kept on working on EU digital policies as Policy Officer in a consultancy in Brussels for two years before joining the EWL.
