On April 16, Dina Loghin (Vice-President) and Mary Collins (Secretary General) represented the European Women’s Lobby during an informal meeting of equality ministers in Warsaw.
The meeting brought together EU Ministers for Equality, Commissioner Lahbib, civil society organisations and institutional stakeholders to address key topics such as misinformation targeting Roma communities, gender inequality in digital spaces, and inclusive policymaking.
The ministers explored the most pressing challenges to gender equality in our digital age, paying special attention to how artificial intelligence could reinforce or help dismantle prejudice and stereotypes.
They also unveiled a new report on disinformation and stereotype‑busting within Roma communities, underscoring the critical role of anti‑discrimination policies and the need to engage men and boys not only as allies but also as direct beneficiaries of gender equality initiatives.
