  The Hungarian Women’s Lobby and the Dignity for All Movement organised a press conference on Friday 17 June at 10 a.m. in Budapest (Center for Independent Journalism, 1088 Budapest, Vas utca 6. I. em. 5.) on the occasion of the launch of the European Women’s Lobby’s campaign "Together for a Europe free from Prostitution."

  News from France: festive evening to talk about pimps and prostitute-users in Rennes, 18 June 2011

  On 18 June 2011, the French NGO Mouvement du Nid organised a festive and engaging event to talk about pimps and prostitute-users.
  This event took place on the sidelines of the Mouvement du Nid’s General Assembly in Rennes. People were invited to join the different activities: screening of films, debate, exhibition, etc. Amongst the various videos, the EWL campaign clip was screened and won acclaim. The French version of the EWL clip has been watched already some 25 000 times.

  Ireland considers legislation on Swedish model

  [Brussels, 04 January 2011] The EWL is delighted to learn that the Irish government is considering introducing legislation protecting women victims of the prostitutional system and targeting pimps and those who buy sex. Based on the highly successful Swedish model, such legislation works towards a society where equality between women and men is upheld as a fundamental right and value.

  [Brussels, 28 January 2011] On 23 November 2010, the Belgian NGO CEFA organized a screening of the movie ‘Not for sale’ in the framework of a series of film-debates ‘Take back the night’. This was the occasion for a discussion surrounding the issue of prostitution, which is both little known and trivialized.
