European Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva signs Joint Declaration on parity democracy

[Brussels, 21 February 2014] European Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva, responsible for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response, signed this week the Joint Declaration of the 50/50 Campaign. Launch of the 50/50 Campaign Lobbying Kit

[Brussels, 20 February 2014] The European Women’s Lobby is delighted to inform you about the launch our 50/50 Campaigns’ “No Modern European Democracy without Gender Equality” Lobbying Kit ahead of the EU elections in May.
After we launched it at the beginning of February we had to take it out of all EWL online media due to technical problems. We are happy that we can relaunch it today!

[Brussels, 19 February 2014] Together with a wide range of European and Spanish NGOs, the European Women’s Lobby took part in the Conference on "Sexual and Reproductive rights in the EU. Set-back of rights in Spain" to defend women’s right to decide over their lives and their bodies.

New EWL Secretary General appointed: we welcome Joanna Maycock!

[Brussels, 3 February 2014] The European Women’s Lobby (EWL) is happy to announce the appointment of its new Secretary General : Joanna Maycock, who will take the position on May 19th 2014.
Joanna Maycock is currently Director for Country Coordination for ActionAid International, where she has worked in various roles based in ActionAid’s Brussels Office over the past 12 years. She is also President of CONCORD: the European Confederation of Development NGOs.

Call for applications: EWL internship - socio-economic policies - March to June 2014
